Aaron
Dougherty PHOTOGRAPHY
Bio
Graduated
from the University of Kansas with degrees in Environmental Design and
Architecture; studied sculpture at Kansas City Art Institute; earned
certification in secondary education at Avilla College, Kansas City.
And, I had the recent pleasure of attending a workshop with the wonderful
and legendary Norman McGrath.
Photography
has been my primary artistic medium since the 60's when my brother and
I took turns carrying carrying Dad's Argus C-3. My photography, even
from early on, has had an architectural/graphic bent though that's only
occasionally a consious objective. Animals stray into the frame sometimes.
And people. My photography of archicture grew as an adjunct to my primary
career - I'm a registered architect of some 20+ years experience - and
I'm currently doing the in-house photography for HOK Sport in Kansas
City.
I'm
also certified to teach high school chemistry
but
that's such a long story. . .
Services
I'm
available for assignments internationally, though - to date - my work
has been confined almost entirely to the mainland US. Photos are shot
using a 6x9cm view camera and negatives scanned, or (increasingly) are
captured digitally.
